Q - What makes the Janus Group series special?A - Growing up, I loved books like Ender's Game and the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan series. When I sat down to write the Janus Group books, I wanted to capture what I liked best about those books - sci fi thrillers or action thrillers in a fast-paced style. The series is best characterized as cyberpunk science fiction thrillers, with a little detective and police procedural elements thrown in to boot. Finally, I like my characters to be relatable, and facing overwhelming odds - the plot is action-packed, and keeps you guessing. Beware plot twists ahead!
Q - What order should I read the books in?
A - Last Pursuit is a short story set in the Janus Group world - it's the prequel, and the story that inspired me to write a full series. You can read that first (for free), then Books 1-3 (Rath's Deception, Rath's Gambit, and Rath's Reckoning) in order from there. Books 1-3 are a complete story arc - Book 3 resolves everything from Books 1 and 2.
Q - Why should readers give these books a try?
A - Because the Janus Group books are fast, inventive, page-turners that kick ass and take names! They've been described as "Jason Bourne" meets "Bladerunner." Any fans of hitman books, science fiction assassin tales, or cyberpunk thrillers will enjoy them.

This time, the best was actually the most impossible mission Desh had encountered yet. Not only did his target know about his assassination attempt, there were also other assassins who would go to great lengths to accomplish the task. And a lot of people's lives are at stake.Desh is brave and driven. He's got a lot of killings done in his life, but this last one was the most important to him because it meant liberty. This book is a measly 18-page story but it is actually packed with action, suspense and thrilling scenes. The ending of Desh's Last Pursuit was quite a bombshell, it actually shook my world. On the last couple of pages in the book, I was left wondering and worrying about Desh's final destination but there's this also the completeness that I felt at the end. Like a smorgasbord of emotions. Piers Platt definitely delivered a one-of-a-kind story!

Last Pursuit is a great short story, well written and engaging. A great starting point for the Janus Group series
The reason I titled this Keep Going is because the first book to this series is amazing. The series should not be judged by this short story; Rath's Deception is a whole different work that deserves its own credit. I enjoyed this one though!
Great short story. Exciting and visually intense read for me personally. This story is he exact type of imagination and story telling I look for.
I'm definitely going to get started on the Janus Group series...in fact, I'm going to download and start the series right now.
Picked up this free short story to check out the author. I'm pleased to say I was impressed with how the story was written. Like many others, I thought it was too short and was just getting into it when it ended. However, the teaser story for a book in the same world setting has me dying to read more.
This is a very brief intro to The Janus Group series. A prequel... It turns out to be quite the attention grabber. I will be reading the next book in the series
A hitman has one last job to fulfill to close out his contract and retire as a rich man. But unexpected difficulties arise which could cause to fail. The problem is failure will mean his death.
An interesting short story. The only real problem is that the story is just too short. Don't get me wrong, the story is complete but I just didn't want it to end.
I don't normally like semi-experimental space stories, but this one was good. It had good imagery for a short story, and a good plot as well. The only problem with it was the ending. It was extremely abrupt. After the story is over, the author mentions that the readers of the story didn't like how short it was. I think it had good potential to keep going. It still wouldn't have been a regular novel size story, but it would have been better without the provided ending.
