This story is a good, quick read and decent for the price. However, it is far from an original idea. Author, Bob Fingerman, wrote 'The Summer Place' which can be found in a collection of zombie stories titled, The Living Dead 2. His story was the first I've ever encountered where a lone man survives, searches and is then bitten by an infected animal and thus becomes infected. If you've already read that story and want something new, don't bother reading this one. But, if you haven't read either story and want something quick, light and well written (plus FREE) then this is a good pick.Product details

I'm not sure a stranger love could possibly exist; devotion raised to new levels here. The last anguished hours and the final decision weirdly had me hoping for some kind of happily ever after even as any such possibility is clearly gone entirely. Amazing short story.
it's a very very short story, but i really expected something more. Ideas aren't original at all. wasted my time reading.
Whew... This well written short really paints the picture of desolation, hopelessness and death. Yet, through it all is the undying love two people share, regardless of the circumstances. Take a few minutes to read this one, you won't be disappointed.
